APS (Atlanta Public Schools) is planning a new K-5 elementary school in response to the overcrowding at Morningside Elementary School. The new school will be located on Ponce de Leon Ave between Briarcliff Rd & Springdale Rd (where the former Howard School was located). The opening of the 450 student school is currently scheduled for August 2009.
